’27 FORD “T” ROADSTER..TRADITIONAL HOT ROD..NO RAT ROD PICS ARE HERE http://www.gnjautos.com/27Ford It needs absolutely nothing but a new owner to jump in and go cruisin’. I dare say you will not find one this well built, or with this many real “old school” hot rod parts for the meager price. To begin with the rods foundation consists of a custom built frame topped with a way kool ’27 glass roadster body (well reinforced) with a steel firewall. It is covered in gloss black with traditional styled and pinstriped flames. It has a steel hinged and louvered decklid and a modified ’32 grill. It has a 6” dropped tube axle in front with Wilwood 4 piston caliper disc brakes, chrome shocks and hair pin radius rods. Hanging from the rear is a 9” Ford narrowed 2.5” per side to tuck the wheels snug with the body, watts linkage, adjustable chrome coil over shocks, and hairpins in the rear. It’s guided by a ’54 Ford steering box and column, topped with a Moon wheel. It rolls on steelies with Coker wide white bias ply tires, and dressed with caps and rings. In the cockpit you can watch the motor’s vitals with old style Stewart Warner 2 5/8” gauges mounted in an engine turned aluminum dash panel, with column mounted Moon tach. Yes, it does have turn signals. You can plant your tush on a nice combo red and white roll and pleat naugahyde upholstery pullin gears from a 350 Turbo with a Lokar traditional tall shifter. The power for this hot rod comes from a 350 chevy 4 bolt main with 461 casting 2.02-1.60 heads with stainless valves, performance springs and retainers. Crane Cams 274H, .450 lift give it a really awesome lopey idle. It get’s it’s spark from a Mallory unilite distributor and the “juice” from a 10 gallon fuel cell to an Edelbrock based tri power setup with all operational Rochester 2g’s. It is dressed with early ROCKET valve covers and exits the hot stuff through lakester headers. The engine and transmission only have a couple thousand miles on total rebuild. An aluminum performance radiator keeps the mill cool. This is a home built hotrod, it has road scars because it’s driven. Chips, some stress cracks but was built tough to drive. Car has been driven to the Hunnert Car Pile-Up with no issues, been in Goodguys Yearbook 2005, Ol Skool Rodz, and Hemmings Billy Creek car show coverage. This is a real 50’s style head turning hot rod and a great driver so if you got your trigger tripped looking at the pics make your best offer, and make it high because if you don’t it will be in someone else’s garage.
